These have been my favorite snack for as long as I can remember! It started with apples and peanut butter, which is yet another staple my mom started, but the older I got, the more toppings I added, first cinnamon, and then honey. This just might be the best way to eat an apple. Did you know that the simple sugars in an apple are processed by your body faster than caffeine? Add to that enough protein from the peanut butter to last you until dinner and you’ve got a snack perfect for the mid-afternoon slump. I don’t know about you, but I always crave something sweet. This is my way of indulging without going overboard.

- 1 Apple, I recommend Honeycrisp
- 1/4 tsp+ Cinnamon
- 1tsp+ Honey, preferably organic or raw
- 1-2Tbs Peanut Butter, I really like this kind!
This recipe really doesn’t need instructions – I don’t even measure the ingredients out 😜
Just chop and core your apple, then top with cinnamon and honey, then put a dollop of peanut butter on the plate and you’re good to go.
Sometimes, I like to speed things up even more with a 2-in-1 apple corer and slicer. There are a few kitchen gadgets that can really make cooking and preparing foods so simple and easy, and this is definitely one of them!
Of course, any apple will do, but I must say that honey crisp apples are fantastic – easily the sweetest, crunchiest and juiciest apple out there. This snack is the best sweet, salty and tart combination.
