Valentine’s Day is fast approaching! That means entire stores will be blooming in reds and pinks, covering every imaginable surface with hearts. There will be red velvet flavored everything, makeups and breakups, teddy bears everywhere and little ones running around with chocolate mouths.
While the commercial and societal aspects of this holiday don’t spell out fun for everyone, I would like nothing more than the opportunity to spend a little extra time showing my husband how much I love him. I’m not in it for the gifts, flowers, chocolates, teddy bears, or anything else that society says will make your Valentine’s Day “worthwhile”. I simply want to celebrate my loved ones. I see the day as a chance to show someone how much you value their presence in your life, and to spell out how much you really L-O-V-E them.
You don’t need to spend loads of cash to make the day special when you can bring them breakfast in bed or pamper them with a back rub. It’s the little things, right?
In celebration of my wonderful husband, I’ll be baking lots of goodies that you can find recipes for right here on my blog, recipes too delicious not to share. You can also find links to some great gift and DIY ideas.
And if you’re sitting here reading this, thinking you have nobody to celebrate, you’re wrong. Celebrate yourself. Treat yourself to a some chocolate and a Netflix binge, whatever makes you feel good!
